Maximum number of participants: 24 For training where G-map is the venue the maximum number of participants is 12; for other venues arranged by the purchaser, we can accommodate up to 25 participants.
Suitable for:
Specifically for those undertaking or supporting direct interventions with children and young people who have displayed inappropriate or harmful sexual behaviour; including YOT workers, social workers, police officers, health professionals, residential social workers, education staff and others in the safeguarding children/public protection network.
Prerequisites:
Participants are expected to have a good working knowledge of issues relating to work with children and young people who have displayed inappropriate or harmful sexual behaviour.
Objectives:
The Good Lives model as a framework for intervention planning and informing problem formulation, risk and needs.
Planning services and therapeutic work
A range of intervention techniques including offence process, cognitive distortions, schemas, relationship and social skills, risk management
Key areas of intervention with the young person’s family and support system.
